Many people are worried that they will pile on all the weight that they have lost whilst doing an elimination diet after an intolerance test, because the temptation is to start eating unhealthy foods again afterwards. This is a myth, and it can all depend on how you ate beforehand. Follow these three simple steps and you will be able to stop the weight gain after completing your intolerance test experience:
1) Starting your elimination diet
You should be able to get the most out of your elimination diet by prepping yourself with a low inflammatory and clean diet, designed to remove calories and alleviate intolerance symptoms. Try to introduce more vibrant coloured fruit (think of a rainbow) into your diet if you have not shown an intolerance to them, as this will make sure that you have a healthy diet beforehand. Drink lots of water to stop yourself from being tempted to eat horrible foods, (8 glasses daily ideally), and sometimes add a slice of lemon to make it healthier and make you feel full. You should also avoid any ingredients which are listed as an intolerance. If you are suffering from bloating or fatigue, then these foods are likely triggers:

2) During your intolerance test
You have probably taken an intolerance test (or want to) because you guessed there might be something up with your stomach. A top tip to help you be prepared for your diet is to begin each morning with a mug of hot water and a slice of lemon! You can then consume your healthy foods throughout the day at recommended times which we recommend in your pack. If you do become hungry in between foods, snack on a handful of carrots or even avocado (as long as you don’t have an intolerance!). This should fill you up, as well as keep the weight down. Treat yourself occasionally to a hot bath and truly allow your body to relax. Doing an elimination diet and following your results plan comes down to willpower.
3) Reintroducing foods
Don’t start scoffing the foods that you were intolerant to straight away! If you have a wheat intolerance, you can’t jump straight back into eating bread and gluten. Importantly, now is the time you should stay strong and take this opportunity to live a happier and healthier lifestyle. Make better diet choices and eat more fruit and veg! Don’t forget about snacking on nuts and seeds in between, depending on your results, but don’t run straight for the junk food.
